EBIS Britannia

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to EBIS Britannia and, in particular, to welcome you as part of our founding school community. There is something uniquely exciting about joining a school at its very beginning. Our founding students, families and staff will not simply become part of the EBIS Britannia community; they will have the privilege of helping to shape its culture, traditions and identity for generations to come. The expectations we establish, the traditions we create and the values we live by together will form the foundations upon which the school grows. At EBIS Britannia, we are proud to bring together the academic traditions and high expectations of a British education with the warmth, values and strong sense of community that are so important to us here in Egypt. Our British curriculum provides the foundation for an education that is ambitious, rigorous and outward-looking. We want our students to be curious, independent learners who are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions and challenge themselves. From Early Years through to IGCSE and A Levels, our aim is to ensure that every child develops the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed at the next stage of their education and, ultimately, at universities in Egypt and around the world. But our ambitions for our students extend far beyond academic results. EBIS Britannia will develop young people who are confident in who they are, proud of their identity and ready to take their place in an increasingly connected world. Leadership, character, resilience and compassion will sit alongside academic achievement as important measures of the young people our school helps to develop. Ultimately, our students will leave us prepared not only for university, but for the opportunities, responsibilities and challenges that come afterwards. As Executive Principal, I believe exceptional schools are built around high expectations, excellent teaching and a genuine sense of belonging. Every child should feel known, valued and supported, while also being challenged to achieve more than they perhaps thought possible. Just as importantly, exceptional schools are built through relationships. The partnership between students, families and staff will be central to the development of EBIS Britannia, particularly during these founding years. We want our families to feel connected to the school and to share in the excitement and responsibility of building something new. There will be many firsts ahead of us: our first day of school, our first assemblies, performances and sporting events, our first traditions and celebrations, and eventually our first graduating class. Each of these moments will become part of the history of EBIS Britannia. Years from now, our founding students will be able to look back and say, “I was there at the beginning.” That is the privilege of joining a founding school. You are not simply joining a community; you are helping to create one. I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working alongside our students, families and staff as we build a school that is ambitious for every child, proud of its British educational foundations, firmly rooted in Egypt and genuinely international in its outlook. Welcome to EBIS Britannia. Welcome to our founding community and to the beginning of something very special.
