Welcome to Primary School at EBIS – a vibrant and supportive learning environment where children build strong academic foundations while developing the confidence, curiosity and independence to thrive.
Across Years 1 to 6, we follow the English National Curriculum, providing a broad, balanced and engaging education. Building on the foundations of Early Years, our youngest Primary pupils continue to learn through exploration, discussion and practical experiences, gradually becoming more independent and taking greater responsibility for their learning.
English, Mathematics and Science sit at the heart of our curriculum, developing fluent readers, confident mathematicians and curious thinkers. Alongside these core subjects, children discover their talents and interests through a rich programme including art, music, sport, computing, humanities and languages.
As children progress through Primary, learning becomes increasingly challenging and ambitious. Our teachers use assessment carefully to understand each child’s strengths and next steps, adapting learning to provide the right balance of support and challenge so that every pupil can make progress.
Learning at EBIS extends far beyond the classroom. Through performances, sporting opportunities, enrichment, school projects, charity initiatives and the Student Council, pupils learn to collaborate, communicate and contribute positively to their community.
By Years 5 and 6, children are encouraged to become increasingly independent, ambitious and responsible. Leadership opportunities allow our older Primary pupils to become role models for younger children while developing confidence, teamwork and resilience.
By the end of Primary School, our pupils are equipped with strong academic foundations, positive learning habits and the confidence to embrace the next stage of their EBIS journey into Middle School.
